This is where Streket, the intake dam for the Kvernveita canal was. Established at least as early as the 1600. Kvernveita gave energy to 5 mills, 5 sawmills, 2 distillery’s, a dairy and a potato starch factory. Brumunddals first fire station was also situated here.
