Diana Statue at Allerton Garden

A life-sized limestone statue stands at the edge of the pool in the "Diana Room" of Allerton Garden. The story goes, Robert Allerton ordered a statue of the Greek hunter goddess, Diana. To his surprise, the statue that arrived was a different historical Diana, thus the "wrong Diana." He ended up keeping it anyway, and put it on display.
