WWII Bombardier Training Center

Activated 15 November 1942. Conducted training for USAAF Gulf Coast Training Center, and later Central Flying Command. The first class graduated on the 6th of March. The next 3 years an estimated 12 thousand cadets passed through the Deming Qin school. The trainer used was the Beech AT-11 Kansan. Assigned to the 2nd air force 16th Bombardier Training Wing on the 31st of December 1944. Conducted B-29 Superfortress group bombardier training until the end of WWII, when the training program was inactivated December 18th 1945. These three large hangers house simulators that the men used to train. Over the years they have been leased to various organizations. The summer of 2007 found many stars inside the hangers filming scenes for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
