Derst Baking Company

Derst Baking Company is a subsidiary of Flowers Food Bakeries. Derst Baking Company produces and distributes more than 400 types of bread, rolls, and cakes. In 1867, Captain John Derst opened a small bakery in Savannah, Georgia. Today, more than 140 years later and the company is still baking the fresh Old Fashioned Bread along with other baked goods including dinner rolls, cookies and cream-filled cakes in its modern bakery in Savannah. Consumers can find Captain Derst’s products in select retail stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
