Lloyd's Trek

A 20 ft centerpiece sculpture located in Rock Island's Schwiebert Riverfront Park, designed and built by Wisconsin artist Stuart Morris. "Lloyd's Trek" was commissioned by the Quad-City Arts in memory of Lloyd Schoeneman, who served as Director of Public Visual Arts for 22 years until he passed away in 2001. Lloyd Schoeneman's wife, pottery instructor at Rock Island's Augustana College, led a team of local artists and students to add color and riverfront landscapes motif to the sculpture in 2014-15.
