Jonah in the Whale

Jonah in the Whale The biblical story of the prophet Jonah (or Jonas) and the whale is described in the book of Jonah. The prophet Jonah is ordered by God to warn people in Niniv because the city will be destroyed within forty days. Jonah refuses and flees with a ship in the opposite direction; that ship is overtaken by a storm. Jonah overboard and put up swallowed by a whale. When he spewed he still goes to Niniv.
