Ada Lee Park

Ada (Jackson) Lee is sometimes referred to as "The Force" in Warner Robins, Georgia. She She does not look for problems but never shrinks from tackling them when they find her. Most recently, she has given her support to the protest against changes proposed by the Houston County Board of Education to Pearl Stephens Elementary School. "Mrs. Pearl Stephens was one of my first teachers in a smoky little classroom that met in a CME church building. The State of Georgia had no interest in funding anything for the education of black children at that time, and Miz Pearl deeded property she owned to the county board of education so a schoolhouse could be built for us."
