Barclay Parish Church

Designed by Frederick Pilkington after a bequest from Mary Barclay and opened in 1864. An elegant solid gothic parish church with high bi-colour diamond pattern slate clad spire. This feature is most noticeable after rain. A visit inside is well rewarded by the pre-raphaelite style painted ceiling of golden stars on a blue background.
