Trehörninsskogen Nature Reserve - SW Entrance

This is the southeast entrance to the Trehörningsskogen ("three corner forest") reserve, which was established in year 2000 and has a land area of 152 hectares. The land is owned by private persons and Stiftelsen Danviks Hospital; the nature reserve is managed by the Stockholm County Administrative Board, with partial financing by the European Union's LIFE environmental fund - it is a Eurpoean Natura 2000 area (area code SE0110133). The area consists largely of old forest that has remined unaffected by modern forestry, with many species of plant and animal that are not found in typically managed forests.
