Houston Baptist University Columns of Justice

Houston, United States

Symbolic of justice, law, and order, ten of the sixteen columns which guarded the entrances to the Galveston County Court House, erected 1899, demolished 1965; where William H. Stewart, Grandfather, served as District Judge. Behind these columns many, including W. C. Morris, Father, found refuge during the great storm of 1900. May their beauty, magnitude, and simplicity remind us of the ageless message of the Word of God, the Bible. Given October, 1969 Joella and Stewart Morris - Founder Trustee 1958 to 1969 Chairman 1966 to 1969 Houston Baptist University 7502 Fondren Rd Houston, TX 77074
