Høvik bad was built after a gift from Georg Iversen in 1911 to give the poor families in the area the possibility to have a warm bath once in a while. It was also a school kitchen for the nearby school. It was administrated and run from the nearby school that was built in 1896. Today it is an art Gallery in the building, and it lies next to the bus stop "Høvik skole"
