'Stream Life' The Mayfly

'Stream Life'. The Mayfly. By local artist Christopher Trotter. This is based on the environmentally sensitive mayfly. The mayfly is a small, short lived insect that is a valuable indicator of water quality. The nymphs are found under stones, around branches growing in the water and in mats of debris. 'Stream Life', part of the project 'Creek Crossings Public Art Trail', is one of the first to be commissioned by the Oxley Creek Catchment Association.
