Gorazd II. Memorial

Gorazd II. was bishop of orthodox church who hid the Czech specially trained officers that successfuly assasinated acting reichsprotektor SS obergrupfuhrer Reinhard Heydrich. These officers were found by nazis in Gorazd's church where they bravely defended themselves for hours despite being heavily outnumbered until 3 men were killed during shooting and 4 took they life before nazi could reach them. Gorazd took the blame for the actions to minimize reprisals. He was then prisoned and tortured by nazis in this prison (Pankrac) and then he was executed at Kobilisy.
