Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse

Completed (first lit) in 1872. Deactivated in 1974. Wrought iron (with ferro-concrete foundation). Height 12.8 metres. Light range 18 km. Also known as Wollongong Harbour Lighthouse. Restored to operational condition in 2002 and is now listed as an official heritage building. Lights are occasionally relit to mark special maritime occasions.
