A religion center that serves the University of Houston This facility perpetuates the name and memory of Lieutenant General A.D. Bruce, USA, president of the University of Houston from 1954-1956; chancellor, 1956-1961; and chancellor emeritus from 1961 until his death on July 27,1969. General Bruce conceived the idea of a campus religion center and was the moving force in its becoming a reality.
