Oregon Station is one of the two newest stations on the Broad Street Line (other being AT&T Station on Pattison), being opened on the 8th of April, 1973, a full 45 years after the original line opened which spanned from Olney to City Hall. Despite the late arrival, this station was called out in the original planning documents for the BSL back in 1915.
