The Hale House

Built in 1887,this house was local in highland park.Built by early la developer George Washington Morgan.It features 60 inch stained glass windows.Historic cultural monument no.40.This home is named after the Hales because they lived here the longest.James and Bessie Hale aquired the home in 1906.Bessie lived here untill the early 1960's.The house was first painted by the Ameritone Paint Company for an ad campaign.They used all 39 colors made by the company at the time.The home was to its original colors after freeway troubles caused by people slowing down to look at the house.Relocated in 1970.
