The Yankee Cannonball
Salem, United States
The Yankee Cannon ball is one of the longest continuously running roller coasters in the world. Originally built in 1930, by the Philadelphia Toboggan Coaster company, at Lakewood Park in Waterbury, Connecticut with the serial number 86. It was moved to its current location where it has been run every season since 1936 only missing the opening weeks of the 1955 season after the primary lift hill was destroyed by hurricane Carol in early September 1954.
