Sjøbadet

Two men, Svend Mosling and Wilhelm Gottlieb Roll, established the first facility in 1858 on a molo just outside Ravnkloa. The first facilities was opened in May 1st 1860. During the early years the facilities was reserved men only, but in 1927 the first women were granted access as well. When Brattøra was renewed in 1897, they had to relocate to current location. Stadsingeniør Dahl ensured the relocation. Icebading started up here in the period prior to WW2. Record still stands of 27500 bading guests summer 1930. Today this is a small club of specially intrested members. The current structrure was raised in 2011.
