Carnwath Farms Park

This has been the town of Wappingers park since 2000. The manor, built in 1850, was home to attorney Untermeyer, who defended Boss Tweed in the early 1900's. It was also the home of the Order of the Brothers of Hermits from 1925 to 1980 who built the dormitory and chapel. Now it is the home of the Dutchess County Sports Museum, the Wappingers Greenway Trail, and several other trails which also pass through the property.
