Brigantine Inn LVC

Legacy Vacation Club - Brigantine Formerly Brigantine Inn 1400 Ocean ave. Brigantine NJ 08203. This historic building was built in 1927. According to local lore the Inn was frequented by Al Jolson and Al Capone. By 1940 the ownership transferred to Father Devine and was the 1st totally integrated hotel if it's caliber in the nation. Purpose and operation of this hotel and subsequent donation to the United States Coast Guard for the duration of WW II was to establish the brotherhood of man and promote International peace by breaking down the precedent of total segregation that was at that time prevalent throughout most businesses in the United States.
