Llansawel Wildlife Walk

Neath, United Kingdom

A fascinating wildlife trail, on which you will see some spectacular sights, rare fauna and uncommon animals such as the lesser-spotted bridge troll that lives under the bridge located here. This reclusive creature from Norse mythology is known for being able to spoof it's location when hunting. This beautiful trail runs between the River Neath, and the Historic Neath Canal and passes the derelict ruins where the lesser-spotted bridge troll (Latin Name: Stultus Saxum) dwells. According to Norse mythology the only way to banish the troll back to their hole is to call out all of the trolls account names when there is a full moon. The Welsh translation for the lesser-spotted bridge troll is "kcid a si eibbor"
