St Margaret's Tower used to be a chapel 1338 belfry added to tower by 1558 & clock by 1774 site damp and new parish church built on higher ground 1865. Nave of chapel demolished but tower restored and heightened new clock installed on occasion of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
