Langley Boardwalk Nature Trail Man-made Wetlands

This 60,000 square foot cordgrass salt Marsh was created from the surrounding upland wooded area in 1987. The site was graded to sea level to allow tidal waters to fill the area twice a day. The marsh supports many species of wildlife including the fiddler crab and the great blue Heron. The area was created to replace Wetlands that were filled at other locations an Langley.
