ZK-BKD Commemorative Plaque

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first scheduled airline service to Queenstown by Mt Cook & Southern Lakes Tourist Co. Ltd on 3 February 1964. This service, inaugurated by Douglas DC-3 ZK-BKD, marked the beginning of a new era of tourism development for Queenstown Airport and the Southern Lakes region. This plaque was dedicated on 14 February 2014.
