This sign stands at the beginning of Historic Downtown Farmville's Main St. Revival. Farmville was selected as one of a small number of towns to receive grant money to revitalize and rejuvenate the town's Main St as part of a state funded program. Many of the buildings received new paint and the sidewalks were all replaced.
