Parkhead Forge Monument

The giant steam hammer was an integral part of the huge Beardmore steelworks which was the main employer in the Parkhead district. Nowadays the hammer is a roadside monument, the works is a shopping centre and the firm is remembered in the modern Beardmore Park sited next to the hammer.
