Pearce Lake Breakheart State Reservation

Named in memory of John A. W. Pearce, a distinguished educator who was the principal at Saugus High School from 1937 to 1968. A dignified, quiet, humorous man, he held to his conviction that an education had to respond to the challenges of a dynamic society and keep pace with a challenging world.
