World at San Bernardino Airport

In 2009, this sculpture was unveiled as a beacon to all travelers. Pat Morris, the then mayor of San Bernardino, had the idea. Steve Silver, of TranSystems, designed the globe. Local artist David Kamenicek built it by hand over the course of six months. The nineteen foot tall orb sits in a thirty foot wide fountain, and stands as a symbol for world travel.
