Saxons
Winsford, United Kingdom
This was built as the Wheatsheaf lnn. with the symbol of Cheshire over the door, in the 19th century on a site used since the 18th Century for an inn. The other sign may be the trademark of a brewery The section to the right was a large stable. The name Saxons is because of confusion between the Victorian cross in Delamere Street St. and a saxon cross inChad's Church. This is one of the oldest recorded pubs in Winsford.
