Eternal Flame Falls

Several people have fallen here, one fatally this year. A leak of natural gas from the Marcellus Shale formation exists behind this modest waterfall. The gas leak is natural, but the flame itself is not, and is suspected to have been lit by Native Americans long ago. Today a light 20 minute hike down a well marked trail will deliver you to this wonder of western New York!
