Great River Energy Wind Turbine

This 160-foot tall, 200 kW Micon M700 Wind turbine was originally located in Denmark. It was rebuilt in South Dakota specifically for the site. We estimate it will produce about 375,000 kWh per year. That's more than 10% of our buildings total energy needs. The electricity produced by the turbine is sent directly to the building. However, at night and then weekends during mild weather, axis electricity the building isn't using it channeled into the public power grid. Located in this urban location, the turbine can power approximately 40 homes.
