German speaking Russians from Ukraine built the church at this location in 1923. They came to Longmont to work in the fields and processing plants. The church was erected with the materials salvaged from the old coffin school located east of Longmont. Services were held in German into the 1950s. The community of Christ restored the church in 2008.
