Following the division of the Union Church of Whitemarsh in 1894 (the original bldg is now the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Flourtown) a portion of the congregation established this as St. Paul's Reformed Church of Whitemarsh. After several subsequent name changes, starting in 1957 this became St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
