Regina Coeli Hall
Front Royal, United States
The Regina Coeli Building is the site of the administrative offices at Christendom College. First called Massanutten Lodge, its original structure was built in 1921 by a judge and his family for their private use and for some paying guests. In 1970, the Communications Workers of America bought the Lodge and sponsored educational conferences there with the AFL-CIO until Christendom College purchased the Lodge and adjoining property in 1979. For several years this building housed classroom, dining, and recreational facilities for the students. The College completed a major renovation of the building in 1996, adding new offices and refurbishing old ones. Now the building serves as the administrative hub of the College; it contains the President's Office, Development, Admissions, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, and the Registrar, as well as the Chester-Belloc student lounge and billiard room (named for great Catholic writers G.K. Chesterton and Hillaire Belloc), and laundry facilities.
