Turtle Pond Reflecting Pool

Dayton, United States

The most significant landscape feature of the brick quarters historic district. This ornamental pool at the center of the district was intended to extend the recreational facilities of the area by providing a wading pool in summer and a ice skating in the winter. Built in 1937 using civilian conservation corps funding and quartermaster labor. It is names for the four turtles sculptures on the four islands within the pond.
