Club Mallard was founded in 1945, but its history dates back to the prohibition era. The first business on this site was a Polynesian style club called Pago Pago. After the adoption of the 21st ammendment, it was refitted into a bar called The Doghouse. It got the current name in the mid 40s and has remained so ever since despite changing hands a few times.
