Magpie and Crown

There has been a Magpie & Crown in Brentford since 1722, although not necessarily in the same place as the current pub was rebuilt in 1928. Local tales say that there were once two pubs on the site - The Magpie and The Crown. This may not be entirely accurate, but a pub called The Pye is recorded in 1614 and the current freehouse is the only Magpie & Crown in England.
