This statue of Ole Romer, is placed on the site of his Observatorium Tusculanum. Romer is most famous for observations of Jupiter which led to his discovery of the speed of light, and the formulas to compute it. Unfortunately, Huygens, using Romers equations, is credited with first calculating its value.
