Katariinankivi

Turku, Suomi

The Catharine stone's name predates to at least the 1700's and possibly back to the 16th century, when both the wife of Duke John (Hertig Johan vassal of Sweden) named Catharine Jagellonica and his later partner, burgher's daughter Katarina Hansdotter. The tale tells of rides in knight procession to celebrate in the beautiful forests with nobility.
