Hamura Saimin

Sometimes referred to as Hamura's, it is Kauai's famous, award-winning, locally run saimin restaurant that has been around for decades. The small place is packed with customers daily during lunch. Similar to ramen, saimin is a multicultural noodle soup made of Chinese noodles, rich meat-based soup stock, and various toppings such as kamaboko, green onion, and Spam. Hamura's also serves grilled meat sticks and lilikoi pie. It was even featured in an episode of the TV show South Park.
