Bay Head Park

This park used to be a Nike Missile Site (W-26) with 21 batteries. Nike missiles were anti-aircraft defense weapons and the site protected the Washington - Baltimore are from nuclear bombers. If you go up around the fields you can still see a few of the old elevators and silos. Most of the buildings on site are the original but have been restored and re-purposed. The site was sold to Anne Arundel County in the 90s.
