This Roseville, MI landmark stainless steel conical rotating sign started it's life in 1960 for Suzie-Q restaurant. The sign was erected prior to the construction of I-696 at 11 Mile Rd. and Gratiot Avenue. The Suzie-Q Restaurant opened in 1961 and closed around 1978. The location was then re-opened as an Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips which closed in the early 1980's and later opened as a Dimitri's Restaurant. In the early 2000's it was once again opened as the current National Coney Island.
