Abner Baker Monument

The Bakers ran a hospice and sanctuary for confederate soldiers during the American Civil War. When Union soldiers came through they killed the doctor, and his son, Abner, swore revenge and killed the man that had turned in his father. Abner was then hanged from a tree in his own yard.
