Mieras Hall with Amethyst Dome

Mieras Hall was built in 1901 for sporting goods tycoon Arthur Spalding. Architect Reginald Machell designed the building in an octagonal shape around the central dome to reflect the perfection of the universe, in accordance with his Theosophist ideals.
