The Boorse House was constructed in 1868 by John C. Boorse. He was known as "The Benjamin Franklin of Kulpsville." The octagon and hexagon shaped house featured, among other things, a "Passive Brick Solar Panel" embedded within the walls of the structure to retain the suns heat well into the night hours.
