Liane Levetan Park at Brook Run

This park sits on the site of the old Brook Run Hospital (also known as the Georgia Retardation Center), which was a mental asylum opened in the late 1960s and later demolished in 1997. The hospital was infamous for being a poorly run institution in which patients were not treated properly, resulting in scandals and litigation.
