NEUTRAL
Crushed Pipe
North Bend, United States
Once 18 feet long, this crushed steel was one of the supporting piles for the temporary work trestle built to construct the Mt. Si Bridge. It was extracted during the project, evidently destroyed by hitting solid granite just below the riverbed. No one had ever seen anything like it; artist Cris Bruch preserved it both as an engineering marvel and for it's visual interest.
