Timothy Kaye and Richard Winter founded Ellicott Mills Brewing Company in 1997 from the shell of what was once Talbott Lumber Mill for nearly a century. The brewery is one of a few that specializes in German lagers and makes more bock styles than any brewery in the western hemisphere.
