The Skate Deck

The Skate Deck is the premier skating locale of the NW. Originally built in 1689, it started as an ice skating venue. The primary highlights were the exceptional grade ice, and the good natured wild animals always willing to chase you around the rink. Benjamin Franklin, noted inventor and Founding Father, was often quoted as saying that he would never visit the scenic NW without spending some time at the Skate Deck. In fact it was Franklin himself who sponsored the transition from ice to hard wooden floors, and the following invention of the roller skate, because he was tired of only betting able to enjoy the Skate Deck in the winter.
